Objectives & Operations of the Creator Connection Ministries
Founder and President of the ministries is Raymond Perry, a Native American from the Navajo Nation. He is also the executive producer and host of a television program entitled “The Creator Connection”. The telecasts present “Jesus Christ as the Connection to the Creator".
The purposes of the ministries are two-fold:
First, it is to proclaim Jesus Christ as God's Son; as stated in the Bible:
John 3:16…”For God so loved the world the He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Second, it is to build a firm foundation in the lives of the peoples, as referenced in the Book of Matthew 28: 18-20…”And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, `All power is given unto Me in heaven and earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Historical Missions Work Among The Native American Peoples
Hence, the Indian Reservations were canvassed by the early missionaries and the young Native children were taken away from their parents and sent away to “federal schools” known as Bureau of Indian Affairs Schools and others were sent to “missions” boarding schools. The BIA schools and missions schools were regimented and patterned after U.S. Armed Forces regimented standards.
The early missionaries settled on the federal Indian reservations and built churches and mission school. The missionaries encountered cultural gaps, language barriers, and life styles of the Native American. It was a daily challenge for the missionaries to overcome. Their missionary reports of the status of their endeavors among the Native Americans were channeled back to Washington, D.C., informing the federal government leaders how the objectives of the missionaries were proceeding on the federal Indian reservations.
Today, approximately 95% of the entire Native American population in the United States is not professing Jesus Christ as their Redeemer. By and large, their belief is: Jesus Christ is a European and Christianity is a European religion. Also, they believe Christianity is a ploy to acculturate and assimilate approximately 3 million Native Americans into the main stream society of the United State of America.
The tribal territories of early America have been drastically reduced in size and are currently under the auspices of the United State Government. The early European missionaries were authorized and assigned by the federal government to enter all federal Indian lands to educate and socialize the “American Indians” and ultimately assimilate them into main stream society.
